AC Milan has officially signed striker Goncalo Ramos from Paris Saint-Germain for a record transfer fee of about £60 million. The 25-year-old Portuguese striker has agreed a contract until 2031 after scoring 45 goals in three seasons at the French club. Italian media have reported a record transfer fee of over 70 million euros (£60.2 million) for the first signing under coach Ruben Amorim, who signed a two-year contract to replace Massimiliano Allegri, who was sacked after a string of poor performances at the end of the season, which prevented Milan from qualifying for the Champions League. Milan's previous record signing was winger Rafael Leao, who moved from Lille for a fee of around £42 million in 2019. PSG are also said to be chasing Liverpool target Yan Diomande from RB Leipzig. The Paris club's summer plans are being led by president Nasser Al-Khelaifi, sports advisor Luis Campos and coach Luis Enrique, with the aim of adding one or two standout players to the squad that won Ligue 1 and the Champions League last season. This could be balanced by more departures as midfielder Lee Kang-in and striker Randal Kolo Muani are also expected to leave the club this summer.
