Allegri and Napoli reached a contract agreement

Napoli has officially reached an agreement with Massimiliano Allegri about him leading the team, according to information from journalist Gianluca Di Marzio. Previously, there was information that the appointment of this 58-year-old coach may be difficult due to financial disputes with Milan. Allegri reportedly asked for 2 million euros for himself and 3 million euros for members of the coaching staff to terminate his contract with Milan, where he has a contract until 2027. However, Milan's owner, Gerry Cardinale, refused this request. Di Marzio also said that the official announcement of Allegri's appointment at Napoli will only be made after negotiations with Milan are completed. Signing Allegri seems off the table though, with the deal running until 2029. This means it will be a three-year deal, rather than two as previously reported.
