Bari searches for a new coach after Castori's refusal
Bari, after dropping down to Serie C, are looking for a new coach after Fabrizio Castori turned down the offer. They are considering young candidates such as Matteo Andreoletti, Federico Coppitelli and Salvatore Bocchetti.
The appointment of Pierpaolo Marino to the position of CEO has officially launched the rebuilding process of Bari, who was recently relegated to Serie C after losing in the play-off match with SudTirol. His first task was to select a new sporting director and coach.
According to information from tuttobari.com, Bari's initial target was Fabrizio Castori, who successfully led SudTirol to avoid relegation. However, Castori rejected the offer from the red and white club, the main reason being said to be related to the division that Bari is participating in, as well as the tense atmosphere in the city regarding the future of the team.
So Bari is turning to younger candidates, known as "linea verde". In particular, coaches such as Matteo Andreoletti, Federico Coppitelli and Salvatore Bocchetti are being followed. Bocchetti may not continue to stay at Atalanta U23, while Andreoletti still has a contract with Padova but may soon complete the contract termination.
