Brighton are in talks to sign Lia Walti
Brighton are in talks to sign Lia Walti from Juventus as the midfielder looks for a return to the Women's Super League.

Brighton is in the process of negotiating to sign midfielder Lia Walti of Juventus and the Swiss team. The 33-year-old, who played for Arsenal, currently has one year left on his contract with the Italian team but is keen to return to the Women's Super League. Walti joined Juventus in September 2025 after seven years with Arsenal, where she helped the team win four major trophies, including the Champions League and WSL titles. During her time in Italy, she made 24 appearances as Juventus finished last season in third place. Brighton are an ambitious club under manager Dario Vidosic and reached their first major final last season, but lost to WSL champions Manchester City in the Women's FA Cup final. The club has ambitions to reach the top 4 of the WSL and last April, they announced plans to build the first stadium in Europe dedicated to women's teams next to Amex Stadium.
