Luís Castro's options to replace Arthur at Grêmio


Grêmio are looking for a player to replace Arthur, who left the club after failing to reach an agreement to extend his contract. Facing financial difficulties, the Porto Alegre team is looking for someone in the current squad to fill the void left by the former captain. One of the names being considered is Argentine midfielder Juan Nardoni, who signed a contract at the beginning of 2026 after a large investment from the board. Currently, he has recovered from a muscle injury in his left thigh and is leading in the internal competition. Another option is Paraguayan midfielder Villasanti, who plays in a "box-to-box" position and has become a leader in the Grêmio dressing room.
