Chelsea could bring Casadei back from Torino and loan him to Ipswich
Chelsea is planning to bring Cesare Casadei back from Torino and loan him to Ipswich Town to continue his development.
According to information from Italy, Chelsea could make a surprise move to bring Cesare Casadei back from Torino to loan him immediately to newly promoted Premier League club Ipswich Town. Casadei spent two and a half years at Chelsea from summer 2022 to winter 2025, most of which he spent on loan at Reading and Leicester City in the Championship. This star, who once played for Italy's U21 team, made a total of 17 appearances for Chelsea during his time in London. He returned to Serie A in the summer of 2024, joining Torino for a fee of €15 million in a deal that contained a significant sell-on clause. At that time, there was information that the resale clause was worth about 25% to Chelsea, however, according to the latest update from TMW, this number is a bit higher, reaching 27.5%. TMW also said that Chelsea can take advantage of this to bring Casadei back to Stamford Bridge at a low cost. However, reports on Saturday claim Chelsea intend to loan Casadei immediately to continue his development, with Ipswich Town mentioned as a potential destination for the 23-year-old. Real Betis were also linked with a move for Casadei by the Italian media last week.
