Korean fans are not allowed to enter the World Cup stadium with bottles of tequila — they drink it all in front of the stadium

Before one of the matches in Mexico, fans from Korea tried to sneak into the field a bottle of tequila (a traditional Mexican alcoholic beverage). However, their plan did not succeed when stadium staff discovered the bottle of tequila and did not allow them to enter the field with it. However, Korean fans have found a way to resolve this situation. They opened the bottle and drank the entire bottle of tequila right in front of the stadium, sharing some with the Mexican fans. In a video circulating on social networks, a Mexican fan said to a Korean fan holding a bottle of tequila: "Korean, man, now you are Mexican!". As a reminder, the Korean and Mexican teams both won the opening match of the 2026 World Cup group stage. South Korea defeated the Czech Republic with a score of 2-1, while Mexico surpassed South Africa with a score of 2-0.
