Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will extend his contract with Celtic for another year, despite interest from other clubs.


Former England midfielder Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain will sign a new contract with Celtic. According to information from Sky Sports, the two sides have agreed to a new one-year contract. The midfielder joined Celtic in February as a free agent, his previous contract with the club running until the end of the 2025/2026 season. Celtic head coach Martin O'Neill was very pleased with Oxlade-Chamberlain's performance, while the player himself wished to stay at the team, despite receiving many offers from other European clubs. Oxlade-Chamberlain is a product of the Southampton academy, having previously played for Arsenal, Liverpool and Beşiktaş. With Arsenal, he won the FA Cup three times and the English Super Cup. At Liverpool, the midfielder became a national champion, winning the League Cup, Champions League, UEFA Super Cup and FIFA Club World Cup. With Beşiktaş, Oxlade-Chamberlain won the Turkish Cup.
