Deportivo A Coruña recruits Leo Román: contract until 2031

Deportivo A Coruña have officially announced the signing of Spain international goalkeeper Leo Roman Riquelme, who plays for Ibiza. His contract runs until 2031, signed after the team activated the release clause in his current contract.
Leo Roman has had 40 La Liga matches in the last two seasons (2024/25 and 2025/26) with Maiorca. His impressive performances earned him his first call-up to the Spanish national team. Previously, he played for Real Oviedo in the 2023/24 season in the Segunda Division, where he made 42 appearances and kept 14 clean sheets.
This goalkeeper made his debut for the Spanish team under the guidance of coach Luis de la Fuente in a friendly match against Iraq last June at ABANCA-RIAZOR Stadium. With the presence of Leo Roman, Deportivo A Coruña has consolidated an important position in the squad with a young goalkeeper who has proven his talent and has great international prospects.
