FC Volendam has officially introduced Nick Doodeman. The 29-year-old striker signed a three-season contract. Doodeman was a product of the AZ academy and played for Volendam from 2017 to 2021, before moving to SC Cambuur and Willem II. Now, he has returned to his old home. "I'm very happy to be back here," Doodeman shared via Volendam's media channels. "This is the ideal move for me at the moment. Although there have been many changes in recent times, everything still feels very familiar. We will try to have a successful season. I can't wait to wear the orange shirt again at Kras Stadion." "Nick is a veteran and with the sale of Aurelio (Oehlers, to FC Luzern) and the departure of Bilal (Ould-Chikh, on loan from Raja Casablanca), Nick is our number one target. We know that we need goals and assists, and Nick is vital to our attacking performance. As soon as we learned of his status at Willem II, we quickly got in touch and acted on them. Nick signed today and will join the team tomorrow (Thursday). After signing Jerayson Hoepel, the right wing position has been filled.
