Gallus: Scotland can create a surprise against Brazil
Eamon and Paul Ewins from the band Gallus share their excitement about Scotland's return to the World Cup, expectations for the match against Brazil and fond memories.
As part of the collaboration between OneFootball and Shoot Music, we interviewed an artist about their love of football. This week we have Eamon and Paul Ewins from Scottish indie-punk band Gallus. They shared the thrill of returning to the World Cup: "This is our first time participating, it's amazing. The match against Haiti was truly historic, and winning made it all the sweeter. We feel so proud!".
Eamon continued to share his feelings before the match with Brazil: "I feel really proud. I think we can get a good result against them, even though Morocco are a very strong team and we were unlucky in the match against them. I just want to see us attack Brazil and play proactively. We have a good chance of qualifying, so just need to avoid a heavy defeat. But we absolutely have a chance to make a splash. shock".
When asked about Scotland's memorable memories at the World Cup in the past, Eamon said: "Previously, we didn't have many memories of the World Cup because we were too young during the 1998 World Cup. However, the goal against Haiti will definitely be among Scotland's best memories."
Paul also emphasized that: "Every team needs an architect. Scotland has many players with that ability, but needs builders to support them, and Anthony Ralston is the only builder in the current squad."
Finally, Paul predicts who will win the World Cup: "I can't see anyone other than Spain and Argentina. I will be happy if either team wins, but Germany is also showing its strength. I will choose Spain to win after beating Scotland in the semi-finals."
