Givairo Read: "I don't feel I need to leave Feyenoord"
Givairo Read, a promising right-back for Feyenoord, is currently uncertain about his future. He said there was interest from many clubs but did not deny the possibility of staying at De Kuip. For Read, winning the championship with Feyenoord is still an important goal, as he shared with VI newspaper. After the friendly match against FC Dordrecht with a score of 6-0, Read shared about his future. He played one innings in this match and felt he had fully recovered from an injury-affected season. "I didn't play much last season, I wasn't really ready for the break... It felt like I was just starting over, but in the end, it helped me a lot," Read said.
At the end of last season, the young defender said that it might be his last match for Feyenoord. "Honestly, I don't know what the future will bring; everything is possible. I don't feel like I need to leave Feyenoord, because I feel comfortable in this team and have a good feeling with the new coach. But no one knows what can happen in the future," he added.

Read was once on the radar of many big clubs such as Paris FC, Manchester City and Bayern München. However, he said Bayern never made an official offer. "But it can still happen. I don't know specifically what the situation is, that's my agent's business. But I also don't need to hide that many clubs have contacted me," he said frankly.
Regarding the possibility of staying in Rotterdam, Read asserted: "I have never won a championship with Feyenoord, that is really a goal. We will try to achieve that this season, if everything goes well. I would also like to have the opportunity to play for the Dutch team. However, I have to compete with the likes of Denzel Dumfries, Jurriën Timber, Jeremie Frimpong and Lutsharel Geertruida, all of whom are very good players. But I need to believe in myself. I really want the opportunity to debut for the national team this season.
Givairo Read's future is still uncertain, but one thing is clear: he has great determination to assert himself at Feyenoord and aim for career success.
