Morocco team head coach, Mohamed Uabi, spoke after the 3-0 victory over Canada in the 1/8 round of the 2026 World Cup. The match took place at NRG Stadium in Houston, USA.

"We are very excited. This is a World Cup match — such matches are always difficult: teams fight for their own destiny. In the second half, we reacted very well in winning the ball back and played confidently in the duels. I have to admit that the Canadian team was impressive — they had a great match. For us, this is not a surprise, but in the second half we made good use of the space left by the opponent — that is the key to our success," coach Uabi shared on FIFA's official website.
In the quarterfinals, the Morocco team will face the winner of the Paraguay - France match. The 2026 World Cup takes place in the US, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The team currently holding the championship is Argentina.
