Morocco coach Mohamed Uabi: "In the second half, we reacted very well"
Morocco team head coach Mohamed Uabi commented on his team's victory over Canada in the 2026 World Cup round of 16 match, emphasizing the players' ability to react well in the second half.

Morocco team head coach, Mohamed Uabi, spoke after the 3-0 victory over Canada in the 1/8 round of the 2026 World Cup. The match took place at NRG Stadium in Houston, USA.

"We are very happy. This is a World Cup match — such matches are always difficult: teams fight for their own destiny. In the second half, we reacted very well in winning the ball back and played confidently in the duels. I have to admit that the Canadian team was impressive — they had a great match. For us, this is not a surprise, but in the second half we made good use of the space left by the opponent — that is the key to our success," coach Uabi shared on FIFA's official website.
In the quarterfinals, the Morocco team will face the winner of the Paraguay - France match. The 2026 World Cup takes place in the US, Canada and Mexico from June 11 to July 19. The team currently holding the championship is Argentina.
