Inter is targeting Roma's Ndicka to replace De Vrij

According to reports from Sunday, Inter Milan are eyeing a move for Roma centre-back Evan Ndicka to replace Stefan De Vrij, who is likely to leave the San Siro at the end of this month when his contract ends. With success in the 2026-27 season, Inter will have a busy transfer window: Marco Palestra remains a top target for the right-back position, while Curtis Jones and Oumar Solet are also expected to join the team under coach Cristian Chivu this summer. La Gazzetta dello Sport say that a deal for the Palestra worth 50 million euros could be signed in the coming days, and that Inter and Udinese are 5 million euros apart in their valuation of Solet. A deal for Liverpool's Jones is also likely to be completed as Inter arrange the sale of Davide Frattesi. However, La Gazzetta dello Sport also reports that Inter are keen to add Ndicka to the squad, especially if De Vrij decides to leave the club on June 30. Previous reports suggested the Dutchman is likely to leave with an offer from Greek side Panathinaikos. Roma still need to sell players before the end of the month to comply with the terms of their financial fair play settlement with UEFA. It is known that the Giallorossi must earn 60 million euros from player sales before the deadline at the end of the month, and selling Ndicka could help them raise about 40 million euros. In an ideal world, Roma would not want to lose Ndicka, especially given the club's return to the Champions League next season, but the need to raise capital could soon force them to act.
