Jakub Mensik: Zverev's opponent in the French Open semi-finals

Tennis player Alexander Zverev will meet Jakub Mensik in the semi-finals of the French Open. Mensik, a 20-year-old Czech tennis player, faced many challenges throughout the tournament. Before that, he had a match that lasted more than four hours under the 31-degree sun, and had to ask for help after suffering cramps on the field. Mensik shared: "I just feel grateful to be alive." In the end, he overcame the difficulties to reach the semi-finals.

In his previous match, he lost 0-6 in the first set to a top 10 player in the world, Alex de Minaur, but did not give up. With determination and great recovery efforts, Mensik excellently entered the top 4 of the clay court tournament in Paris.

The semi-finals will take place on Friday afternoon at 2:30 p.m. Although Mensik was overshadowed by other young stars in the tournament, he was known as "Ice-Man" and was highly regarded for his playing and technical ability. Former tennis player John McEnroe commented on Mensik: "He has great ball feel and high technique. In the next 10 years, he will be a very annoying opponent."

Mensik is the youngest Czech player since the beginning of the professional tennis era in 1968, to reach the men's singles semi-finals of a Grand Slam tournament, surpassing Ivan Lendl's record. However, health issues are still a big question as he often suffered from cramps throughout the tournament, even when attending the press conference after his quarterfinal victory over Joao Fonseca.
