When will the 2026 FIFA World Cup take place?

The competition system will divide 48 teams into 12 groups (A-L), each group has 4 teams. The top two teams from each group will advance to the knockout round, along with the eight best third-placed teams. This helps create a dramatic and exciting tournament.
