Ipswich Town have announced that Kieran McKenna has decided to step down as manager and will leave the club. He, 40, took over the team in 2021 and has led them to three promotions in the past four seasons, including two that took the club into the Premier League. The team will compete in the top tier in the 2026-27 season after finishing runners-up in the Championship last season. McKenna has been linked with the coaching position at Fulham but said his decision to leave Portman Road was due to his desire to take time off and spend more time with his family. "I feel like this is the right time for me to step down," McKenna said. "I leave with great pride in the fantastic progress we have made and with great hope for the future of the club. Having given so much to this role over the past five seasons, I now look forward to taking some time off and spending time with my family, who have been by my side throughout my career." Detailed information will be updated later.
