Liverpool faces a major reshuffle, the record scorer could leave after five years
Liverpool are undergoing a major shake-up as many key players, including Mo Salah and Andy Robertson, are looking to leave. The club's future became uncertain amid these changes.
A record Liverpool goalscorer is now likely to leave the club. A lot of change is happening at Anfield this summer. It feels like everyone is leaving. We said goodbye to Mo Salah, Andy Robertson and Ibrahima Konate. Indeed, three of the most important elements of the Premier League-winning squad under coach Arne Slot are gone. And we still haven't reached the middle of the transfer window. Who knows what the future holds for Joe Gomez, or Curtis Jones and Alexis Mac Allister. Both players are said to be capable of attracting interest from European and Premier League clubs. There is also information that Cody Gakpo will also be on Tottenham's radar, and Liverpool is ready to sell the Dutch striker. This could mean that by the end of this summer we could be without Mac Allister, Salah, Robertson, Konate, Jones and even Gomes. Before there was information about Wataru Endo, Stefan Bajcetic, Federico Chiesa and Kostas Tsimikas, who were also on the fringes and likely to leave. The question is what will Liverpool do next? What is the plan to replace all these players? Will there be many new signings or will Andoni Iraola have to rely on the academy? These are all unanswered questions at this time. Some of those have been released, including Oakley Cannonier, who was most recently the Under-18s' top scorer in a single season. Another player who met the same fate as Cannonier but was not released was Kaide Gordon. He joined Liverpool in January 2021 and has been at the club for five years. Since joining Liverpool, there have been many expectations for this young player. Gordon is widely recognized as the best young player in the country and has impressed Jurgen Klopp and his coaching staff with his performances in training. So much so that Gordon actually became the youngest goalscorer in the club's history in the FA Cup at just 17 years and three months in January 2022. Unfortunately, injuries have devastated his career.
