Luis Miguel Ramis officially became the new coach of Osasuna
Luis Miguel Ramis has been appointed by Osasuna as the new coach for the next two seasons, starting with the 2023/2024 season.
At the end of May, Osasuna suddenly fired coach Alessio Lisci. Today, Luis Miguel Ramis was officially appointed as the new coach of this team for the next two seasons, lasting until June 30, 2028. According to an announcement from the club, Ramis will be supported by assistants such as José Manuel Gil, Iván Madroño, Miguel Ángel Fernández and José Fajardo.
Luis Miguel Ramis will have his first experience in La Liga, after a decade of leading teams in the Spanish second division. He joined Osasuna after an impressive season with Burgos, where he led the team to 72 points - a number not enough to qualify for the promotion playoffs in the club's history.

Ramis has built a clear identity for Burgos through tactical balance and a strong competitive spirit, Osasuna said, helping the team become the team with the fewest defeats in the league, third for fewest defeats, sixth for wins and third for away performance.
Previously, Ramis also coached Tenerife in the 2021/22 season and Espanyol in 14 rounds in the 2023/24 season, before being fired even though the team was third and only one point behind the direct promotion position. At the age of 55, Ramis is at the ripe stage of his career and will try his hand at Spain's top tournament.
