Neymar is in 'healthy condition' as he aims to return to face Scotland, according to Martinelli
Gabriel Martinelli said Neymar is in very good condition and can return to play in the match against Scotland in the World Cup group stage.

Gabriel Martinelli said Neymar is in "very good condition" and playing at a "high level" in training sessions, with hopes Brazil can have Neymar back for their final match against Scotland. Neymar was called up to Brazil's World Cup squad but suffered a calf injury before joining the national team, which caused him to miss the first two matches. Brazil drew 1-1 with Morocco and beat Haiti 3-0, currently sitting top of Group C ahead of the final match. Carlo Ancelotti has said he expects Neymar to be fit to play against Scotland, which is an advantage for Brazil as Raphinha will not be able to play due to injury. While it is unclear how long Neymar will be able to play on Wednesday, Martinelli is confident he will be ready to make an impact. "He is playing at a very high level, and you could see the determination in training on Monday," Martinelli said in a news conference. "You can see he's excited to play with us, and his quality is undeniable. Whether he plays or not is a question for the coach, but I think he's in very good shape." Neymar, who has returned to training, has not played for Brazil since October 2023, when he injured his anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) in a World Cup qualifying match against Uruguay. He is Brazil's all-time top scorer, with 79 goals in 129 appearances. Neymar has participated in each of the last three World Cups, scoring eight goals in these tournaments.
