Real Madrid captain cannot be transferred this summer
Real Madrid captain Federico Valverde will not be sold this summer, with the club confident he will lead the team next season. Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga could face uncertainty about their futures.

Jose Mourinho came to Real Madrid with many transfer plans, and the club signed several players such as Ibrahima Konate, Denzel Dumfries, Bernardo Silva and Marc Cucurella. The club continue to be linked with new signings this summer, and adding more players to the squad could reasonably require a few players to leave. Improved midfield could also mean a few players will be considered for sale, but Federico Valverde is not expected to be among them. According to AS, Real Madrid completely trusts Valverde, who is expected to become captain next season. Aurelien Tchouameni and Eduardo Camavinga are the players most likely to be considered as possible sale candidates, other than the Uruguayan. It was a big statement from the club. The Uruguayan player continues to be an important part of Real Madrid's plans, and it is unreasonable to consider selling him. Valverde has spoken about the significance of wearing the captain's armband, stressing that he never imagined he would become Real Madrid's captain. This feeling is important because his connection to the club has always felt deeper than just a contract. He plays like someone who knows the team well. Keeping him is completely reasonable. Valverde brings strength, intensity, sacrifice, ability to hold the ball and tactical discipline to the team. He is not the most prominent player in the squad, but is often the one who makes the whole structure work. If Real Madrid want to become stronger, more compact and harder to beat, Valverde is the type of player a coach would rely on. The fact that Tchouameni and Camavinga are mentioned as possible candidates to be sold does not mean that both will definitely leave. It just means that if an offer for any of them is made, the club will consider it, unlike in the case of Valverde. Both are excellent players, and selling either of them would be a serious sporting decision. Tchouameni brings defensive balance and physical strength, while Camavinga brings energy, flexibility and resistance to pressure. Financially and tactically, Mourinho will have to pick his battles, and it remains to be seen whether he decides to sell anyone in the squad. Real Madrid are entering a summer where many big decisions will be made, but this one should be simple. Valverde stayed, led and became one of the faces of Mourinho's new project Los Blancos.
