Zenit captain Douglas Santos called Pedro the best young player of the RPL season

«Zenit» captain Douglas Santos participated in the annual survey of «Championat», related to the award «Best RPL Young Player». This player listed the five best young players of the season. In fifth place, Santos chose Daniil Kondakov (Zenit), fourth Kirill Glebov (CSKA), third Alexey Batrakov («Lokomotiv»), and second Matvey Kislyak (CSKA). The best young player recognized by Zenit captain is Pedro (Zenit). After the end of the season, coaches and team captains participate in the traditional voting of the «Championat». They will select the five best young players from RPL clubs. The main criteria is that all players participating in the award must be under 21 years old at the start of the season. Club coaches and captains must identify the five best players, however can only choose a maximum of three from their club. The player placed in first place by the captain or coach will receive six points, second four points, third three points, fourth two points and fifth one point. The scores the young players receive from the coaches and captains are then compiled. Previously, the «Championat» award was awarded to Gamid Agalarov (season 2021/2022), Sergey Pinyaev (season 2022/2023), Konstantin Tyukavin (season 2023/2024) and Alexey Batrakov (season 2024/2025).
