According to reports, vehicles transporting training equipment were broken into while the players traveled separately. These devices were sent out in the presence of the players on Saturday. England are expected to have their first full day of training in Kansas City on Sunday, preparing for their opening match of the tournament against Croatia in Dallas next Wednesday.

Missouri is home to many football teams during the World Cup. Defending champion Argentina, along with the Netherlands and Algeria, are also in the Kansas City area. Coach Thomas Tuchel's team has played two friendly matches in the US so far, meeting New Zealand and Costa Rica in Florida to adapt to the weather conditions. They also hosted a behind-the-scenes match against a local team in Florida on Thursday.

Coach Tuchel used a strong squad in the match against Costa Rica in Orlando, with the participation of Harry Kane, Jude Bellingham and Declan Rice in a 3-0 victory, the match was postponed for an hour due to heavy rain in the area. Ivan Toney scored a hat-trick as England continued their preparations for the World Cup by beating local side Miami United FC 6-0 in a behind-closed-doors match, with Jordan Henderson, Rio Ngumoha and Ethan Nwaneri also scoring. Neither Ngumoha nor Nwaneri were in England's final 26-man squad and were set to return home before Tuchel's team moved to Kansas City and to their training base for the World Cup.
