The US team will not use four main players in the match against Türkiye
The American men's soccer team will not have four key players present in the final match of the 2026 World Cup group stage against Türkiye to avoid suspension.

The American men's soccer team will not use four main players – midfielder Tyler Adams, striker Folarin Balogun, defender Chris Richards and fullback Antonee "Jedi" Robinson – in their final 2026 World Cup group stage match against Türkiye. All four of these players received yellow cards in the previous match and to avoid receiving a second yellow card - leading to an automatic suspension in the round of 32 match - US coach Mauricio Pochettino will use other players in his starting lineup. The big question remaining is whether star attacker Christian Pulisic will play in Thursday's game at Los Angeles Stadium. Pulisic did not play in the 2-0 win over Australia after suffering a calf injury in the 4-0 win over Paraguay. Team USA, the winner of Group D, is aiming to complete the group stage with a perfect record. After Thursday's match, they will next play in the round of 32 on July 1 in the San Francisco Bay area. The expected opponent for that match is Bosnia and Herzegovina, the team ranked third in Group A. However, this has not yet been officially confirmed.
