Parma is making important strides in finding a solution to strengthen its force for next season. After losing Alessandro Circati to Benfica and failing with an offer for Jan Ziolkowski from Roma, the team turned to another target in defense - Diego Carlos. According to information from transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Parma is actively discussing and conducting negotiations to bring the Brazilian player (33 years old) away from Fenerbahce, where he has a contract until 2028.
Although Diego Carlos has had a great time at Sinigaglia with Cesc Fabregas at the helm, Como are currently unable to participate in the deal. The main reason is because this team has not had any departures from the defensive position. Currently, Como has six midfielders in the squad after the official announcement of Kambwala's presence.
Diego Carlos has waited long enough to find out Como's intentions, but it seems he will have to turn his eyes to other options. Parma quickly seized the opportunity and are working hard to complete the deal with Fenerbahce. In this context, several Brazilian clubs have also contacted the player's representatives to discuss the possibility of a transfer.
The interest from Parma shows their determination to strengthen their squad for next season, and Diego Carlos could be a valuable addition to their defence. With his experience in Serie A, this player will help improve the quality of Parma's squad as well as create more competition in upcoming matches.
Meanwhile, Como needs to find solutions to improve its situation in the context of a vibrant transfer market. Not being able to bring Diego Carlos back is a big loss for this team, and they will need to consider other options to strengthen their strength in the next stage.
What happens next
If the deal with Diego Carlos is successful, Parma will have another experienced midfielder, which could help them improve their position in Serie A. Meanwhile, Como will continue to keep their defensive lineup intact, at least until there is a departure. Carlos' search for new opportunities could also open up other options for him from Brazilian clubs.
