Pau Victor shares about the influence of coach Flick and Lewandowski

Pau Victor has enjoyed a successful career since leaving Barcelona last summer, and is currently in impressive form at Braga, one of Portugal's top teams. However, the Catalan striker still remembers his homeland and in a recent interview with Diario SPORT, he shared fond memories of his time at Camp Nou.

During the conversation, Pau Victor mentioned memorable memories with coach Hansi Flick and player Robert Lewandowski, who may move to MLS. When asked about the best advice he received during his time at Barcelona, ​​Pau Victor singled out a gesture from Flick: "Flick gave a lot of advice, but I think the best thing he did was ask Robert Lewandowski to be someone like my father, which means in training, and Robert was very interested in me. He gave me a lot of advice about everything."

Pau Victor did not hesitate to praise the influence of Lewandowski, whom he considers one of the best players he has ever had the opportunity to play with. I learned a lot from him and am very grateful," he added.


Pau Victor also noted the way Coach Flick handled players who did not play regularly, which he said made him different from many other coaches. "It's true that that's the coach's job. I thank Flick for always caring about me and giving me advice to improve," he explained.

With Lewandowski leaving Barcelona leaving a void in attack, Pau Victor was asked who he would like to see signed as a replacement. He gave two names. "I have a huge crush on Harry Kane, I have loved him for many years. He is a striker that I admire a lot and from him I learn a lot. That would be a very good choice. If not, then Julian Alvarez, of course, because of everything he represents and his youth as well," he replied.

Barcelona are working to sign Alvarez, although Atletico Madrid have proven to be a major obstacle in the deal. Despite moving abroad, Pau Victor confirmed that he is still in regular contact with many of his former Barcelona teammates and gave his perspective on the Champions League pressure the team is facing. "Barcelona will always be one of the contenders. But winning the Champions League is very complicated, and the season should not only rely on the Champions League. We all want the Champions League, but I think we should not obsess over it and put too much pressure on the players," he said.

Finally, Pau Victor reflected on his decision to move from Barcelona to Braga.
