Poppy Pattinson extends contract with London City Lionesses

England defensive player Poppy Pattinson has officially extended her contract with London City Lionesses until the summer of 2029. The defender made her England debut in March 2026 when she was part of the squad for the 2027 Women's World Cup qualifying matches against Ukraine and Iceland. However, due to injury, Pattinson missed most of last season. "Last season was a roller coaster personally," Pattinson shared. "It started with an injury, it was a new challenge. I came back and was then called up to the national team. I will always appreciate and never forget that my debut took place while I was at this club." The 26-year-old player used to play for WSL clubs such as Manchester City, Everton and Brighton. "I'm really happy to sign a new contract at this club," she added. "As a player, you want to feel that you are at a club where you can learn and develop. I think I have a lot more to do. This squad has great potential and I'm excited to be part of that."
