Main point

- Real Madrid is planning to recruit young talent JJ Gabriel from Manchester United, considering him a future star for the team.
- Real Madrid views Manchester United wonderkid as future first-team talent.
Real Madrid, one of the largest football clubs in the world, is constantly looking for young talents to develop for its squad. Recently, they were linked with the signing of 15-year-old talent JJ Gabriel from Manchester United. Gabriel attracted attention in the football world when he sent a request to cancel his contract with the parent team, which further increased his attraction to Los Blancos.
According to sources from The Athletic, Real Madrid believe that Gabriel has great potential to become part of the first team in the future. This explains why they have been quietly working to bring him to Santiago Bernabéu. The club is considering recruiting Gabriel as a long-term strategic investment, not simply signing a young player.
Because Gabriel is still a teenager, Real Madrid is approaching this deal with caution, ensuring every step complies with FIFA regulations. Their plan is for Gabriel to play for Castilla, Real Madrid's reserve team playing in the Spanish Third Division, and at the same time participate in the U19 team in the UEFA Youth League. This will be an ambitious roadmap for a player born in October 2010.
Madrid previously tested a similar deal with Abdellah Ouazane in 2025, but that deal fell through after the player failed to pass a medical test. Gabriel, while younger, Madrid's approach appears to remain unchanged: bring an excellent talent into the system and slowly give him the opportunity to face increasing challenges.
The most important thing is that Gabriel is considered a talent with the ability to become a full-time player in the future. Signing a talented young player is a different story than signing someone with a clear expectation of playing at the Bernabéu. Gabriel's recent performances have reinforced this excitement. He just scored a hat-trick for Manchester United in the match against Sabah in the UEFA Youth League last week.
However, there is no guarantee that an outstanding young player will become part of Real Madrid's first team. Gabriel is still very young, and his development needs to be managed carefully. Madrid's plan is clear; Castilla will provide experience in facing big opponents, while the Youth League will give him valuable European experience against opponents of the same age. If Los Blancos are successful in signing Gabriel, this will be one of the impressive deals of the summer, and how they do this remains an interesting question.
What happens next
Real Madrid is expected to approach the JJ Gabriel deal carefully, ensuring compliance with FIFA regulations during the transfer process. If the deal is successful, Gabriel will play for the Castilla reserve team and join the U19 team in the UEFA Youth League, opening up development opportunities for him in a highly competitive environment. This not only benefits Gabriel personally but also Real Madrid in building its future squad.
