The match between Roma and Real Madrid that just took place left many emotions for fans, especially when Roma led 3-1 but eventually lost 3-4. Football experts are currently debating whether this defeat was due to coach Gasperini's mistakes or to Mourinho's smart decisions.
Stefano Impallomeni shared: "I don't see many mistakes from Gasperini, but really praise Mourinho for making reasonable tactical changes and putting Endrick on the field. But perhaps in the last minutes, the coach had little influence on the players' psychology."
Paolo Poggi continued to emphasize: "Mourinho's changes in substitution situations are very commendable, but the greatest credit belongs to the players. They executed the decisive moments perfectly." Meanwhile, Chiara Zucchelli said: "Although Mourinho has his strengths, I see more mistakes from players than from Gasperini. There are situations where you cannot concede goals like that."
Paolo Paganini had a stronger opinion, saying: "This is a bigger mistake than Gasperini's. Although Real Madrid has quality players, it is impossible to concede three goals from corner kicks when the team has arranged its defense."
Francesco Bonfanti also did not hesitate to criticize the players: "It is impossible to concede three goals from corner kicks. Three times the ball was brought into the 16m50 area but three goals were conceded. Once is acceptable, but it cannot happen a second or third time. This shows the team's lack of concentration and determination."
Fabrizio Ferrari analyzed: "The main mistake was from the players, they knew their position clearly when entering the field. I don't think Gasperini instructed them to stand like that in a corner situation. There must be more decisiveness in situations like this."
Mauro Milanese expressed concern: "It's a shame that Roma conceded three goals from corners. I don't want this to overshadow the team's performance against Real."
Finally, Massimo Brambati emphasized: "I feel sorry for Gasperini. Even though there were unfortunate moments, I still see the positives. However, the players still have to do something to not repeat such mistakes in the future."
Roma needs to learn lessons from this loss to improve in the next matches, especially when they are aiming for big goals in the season. Failures like this are not only a lesson for the coach but also for the players on the field.
What happens next
Roma will need to learn lessons from this loss to improve in the next matches. Coach Gasperini and the players will have to work together to correct mistakes, especially in defense. The season is still long and Roma needs to focus on improving to have a more successful season.
