Romain Zobnin voted Igor Dmitriev as the best young player in RPL in the annual survey, while also mentioning other young names.


Spartak captain Romain Zobnin took part in the annual 'Championat' survey to vote for the best young players of the RPL season. In this list, Zobnin ranked the top five young players. Specifically, he placed player Hordi Thompson from Orenburg in fifth place, followed by Kirill Glebov from CSKA in fourth place, Matvey Kislyak also from CSKA in third place, and Alexey Batrakov from Lokomotiv in second place. The person Zobnin honored as the best young player was none other than Igor Dmitriev from Spartak. This election takes place after the end of the season, where the coaches and captains of the teams participate in determining the five best young players of the clubs in the RPL. The main criteria to participate in this award is that players must be 21 years old or younger at the start of the season. Each coach and captain will select five players, but can only choose a maximum of three from their club. The player voted in first place will receive six points, second place four points, third three points, fourth two points and fifth one point. Finally, the total points of the young players will be added up from the coaches and captains. Previously, this award was given to many players such as Gamid Agalarov (2021/2022 season), Sergey Pinyaev (2022/2023 season), Konstantin Tyukavin (2023/2024 season) and Alexey Batrakov (2024/2025 season).
