Sam Bell signs a new contract with Bristol City

Bristol City striker Sam Bell has officially signed a new three-year contract with the club. Aged 24, Bell made his debut for the Robins in December 2020 and has made a total of 99 appearances in the Championship. After spending the first half of last season on loan at League One side Wycombe Wanderers, Bell returned to Ashton Gate on New Year's Day and enjoyed success under interim manager Roy Hodgson, scoring four goals in the final four matches of the season.

"I am delighted to have completed this contract. I spoke to James [Ellis - Bristol City's new sporting director] first and he explained to me his desire to keep me at the club," Bell said on the club's website. “I also had a good chat with the new coach [Michael Skubala] and he was a big part of the reason I wanted to stay here so much.” Skubala also expressed: "We are delighted to retain Sam's talent until 2029. We are eager to continue working with him and watch him develop in a City shirt."
