Scotland will have to beat the Czech Republic, then either Lithuania or Sweden in two-legged play-offs if they are to qualify for the Women's World Cup next summer. Coach Melissa Andreatta's team won their group in League B, finishing ahead of opponents such as Belgium and were seeded in the second race in the play-off draw. A total of 32 teams entered the draw, with eight successful teams progressing to the finals in Brazil. Teams such as Denmark, France, Germany and Spain qualified after winning their League A groups. Scotland will play away in the first leg of their first round tie before hosting the Czech Republic - who have finished second in their group, behind Wales - in the second leg. If they win the two-legged total, they will face the winner of the match between Lithuania and Sweden. Sweden finished third in their League A group - behind Denmark and Italy - while Lithuania topped their Group C.
