Sparta Rotterdam recruited Nick Verschuren from Ajax
Nick Verschuren terminated his contract with Ajax and immediately moved to Sparta Rotterdam, signing a contract until 2030.

Nick Verschuren had a contract with Ajax until the summer of 2028, but Sparta decided to buy out his contract. At the new club, he signed a contract until 2030. "We are bringing in a very talented defender, who is young and has the ability to develop further as a player. Therefore, we have signed Nick immediately for four years," technical director Gerard Nijkamp shared via Sparta's media channels. "At the same time, Nick has spent three seasons playing professional football and last year gained experience at FC Volendam in the Eredivisie. There, Nick showed that he can stand up at the highest Dutch level. We look forward to developing Nick into an even better defender in the coming years." Verschuren spent a total of twelve years at Ajax. He has been through many youth teams since 2014 and since the summer of 2024 has been part of Jong Ajax. However, he has not had the opportunity to debut for the first team.
