The time is right for a transfer, says Luke Graham on joining Stoke City
Luke Graham left Dundee to join Stoke City for a club record fee, expressing his gratitude to his old club and excitement about his new challenge.
Defender Luke Graham has just officially left Dundee to transfer to Stoke City for an undisclosed record fee. He sent his sincere thanks to everyone in his old club. Graham joined Dundee at the age of 15 and spent time on loan at Lochee United, Albion Rovers, Montrose and Falkirk before making his first-team debut in July 2024. "Wearing the Dundee shirt is a huge feeling of pride for me and I will always support the club wherever I go," he told the club's media.
Graham, 22, has had an outstanding season, making 40 appearances and scoring three goals. He was also called up to the Scotland U21 team and was on the training list before the World Cup, although he did not have the opportunity to play in the friendly match against Curacao in May at Hampden.
"I think this is the right time for me to move and try my hand in a different environment," Graham said. "I'm sad to be leaving, but very excited for what lies ahead. Dundee have played a huge part in my career. I wouldn't be here if it wasn't for Dundee who believed in me as a young lad in the academy. I just want to say a huge thank you to everyone at the club, all the fans, my team-mates and everyone I've worked with. I've made so many good friends and will always keep in touch." Wearing a Dundee shirt is a great feeling of pride and I will support the club wherever I go."
