Newcastle United midfielder Lois Joel has officially signed a new contract with the club. This information was confirmed by WSL Full-Time via an official press release from The Magpies this afternoon. The 27-year-old has spent the past two seasons on Tyneside after joining Newcastle United from London City Lionesses in the summer of 2024. She will remain with the club in the 2026/2027 season.
Last season, Joel made 15 appearances for Newcastle United in Barclays WSL2, scoring one goal and providing one assist. She is an important member of coach Tanya Oxtoby's squad. Joel helped Newcastle United finish sixth in the Barclays WSL2, although the club hopes for better performances in the upcoming season.
Joel expressed his excitement at signing a new contract with Newcastle United: "I'm very excited. I really wanted to stay, so I'm very excited that everything is done and I can continue to participate in this exciting project. I feel like I've grown more and more here.
