Brazilian international Thiago Silva returns to Fluminense
Thiago Silva signed with Fluminense after leaving Porto, marking his return to his old team.

Former Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea and Brazil defender Thiago Silva has officially returned to Fluminense. This team announced the signing of the 41-year-old player on its social networking page. In the announcement, Fluminense shared: "Some stories will never end. The monster Thiago Silva is back."

Thiago Silva left Porto as a free agent in May 2026. He played for Fluminense from 2006 to 2009 and won the Brazilian Cup in 2007. Then, in 2024, the player returned to play for the Brazilian team and had two more successful seasons here. Thiago Silva has made 113 appearances for the Brazilian team and scored seven goals. However, this summer, he was not on the team's registration list for the 2026 World Cup.
