World Cup 2026: Ecuador vs Germany squad – Yeboah starts for South America, Estupinan on the bench
Ecuador faces Germany in a crucial match at the 2026 World Cup, with Ecuador needing a win after disappointing performances in previous matches.
The match between Ecuador and Germany taking place tonight is one of two decisive matches of Group E at the 2026 World Cup, with the European team having definitely passed the group stage, while the South American team only got one point. Ecuador did not have a good performance and are yet to score a goal, after losing 0-1 to Ivory Coast and drawing 0-0 with Curacao. On the contrary, Germany had an impressive 7-1 victory over Curacao and came back to win 2-1 against Ivory Coast.
In tonight's match, a Serie A star will play for Ecuador, Milan's Pervis Estupiñán, but he sat on the bench. Instead, Venezia's John Yeboah will play in attack. For the German team, former Rossoneri player Malick Thiaw also sat on the bench, making way for Antonio Rüdiger.
