Hanoi - Coach Mano Polking had interesting shares about the current situation of Hanoi Police Club (CAHN) before the match with Kyoto Sanga in the framework of the AFC Champions League Elite 2026-2027 qualifying round. According to him, the team's dense competition density and current series of injuries are like a "gift" that the players need to overcome to develop.
CAHN is currently the team with the busiest schedule in Vietnam with 11 matches from the beginning of the season, spanning the V-League, AFC Champions League, Southeast Asian Club Cup and National Super Cup. From October 8 to October 31, this team will have to play continuously, on average nearly 4 days a match, with only two wins. CAHN's squad currently has 27 players, but many key positions are still unable to participate due to injuries, including players such as Tran Dinh Trong, Vu Van Thanh, Kevin Pham Ba and striker David Henen.
Meanwhile, some other players such as Nguyen Dinh Bac, Nguyen Quang Hai and Bui Hoang Viet Anh are showing signs of overload. Coach Polking emphasized that, despite many difficulties, the team always tries to show beautiful play and take advantage of the home field advantage to support the players.
"This season is truly a challenge with a high density of competition in a short period of time. But adversity is a worthy gift after what the team has achieved," coach Polking said. He also said that, over the past three seasons, the team has learned a lot of experience from international tournaments, helping them adapt better to stressful matches.
CAHN also made a historic mark by becoming the first Vietnamese representative to participate in the AFC Champions League Elite qualifying round after defeating Australia's Adelaide United in the play-off match. However, they had difficulty losing to two Japanese teams, Gamba Osaka and Kashima Antlers, with scores of 1-4 and 0-1. Recently, the team had an impressive 3-2 victory over China's Shanghai Port.
Currently, CAHN is ranked 11th in the rankings and needs to work hard in the next 5 matches to reach the knockout round. Coach Polking appeared optimistic when asserting that CAHN is completely capable of competing with Kyoto Sanga.
"We always keep hope and try our best to continue on the big stage. That will be a great achievement for the club," he added. Opponent Kyoto Sanga is currently in stable form with good results in J-League 1, and coach Ranko Popovic also made positive statements about the Vietnamese team.
The match between Hanoi Police and Kyoto Sanga will take place at Hang Day Stadium on November 3, promising to be an exciting battle between two representatives of different football backgrounds.

Hanoi Police will continue their journey in the AFC Champions League with an important match against Kyoto Sanga.
