Daniele Paparusso: "Criscitiello is a man with vision. But not everyone believes in young people"
Daniele Paparusso, Sports Director of Folgore Caratese, shares his experience and the need for trust in young players in Italian football.
In a long interview with TuttoMercatoWeb.com, Folgore Caratese's Sports Director, Daniele Paparusso, spoke not only about sports issues related to the recently promoted Lombardo club to Serie C, but also about what it means to be a young manager in Italy. Born in 1993, Paparusso recently retired from professional football and has chosen this new path.
He shares: "I was lucky to have a visionary president who believed in me, even though I was almost an unknown person: but he saw something in me that perhaps even I did not realize. This made me feel proud, because I had a huge opportunity: in my field, starting as early as possible, because there will be plenty of time to correct mistakes and improve. Obviously, we always want to make mistakes. as few mistakes as possible, but that's normal. The president takes care of the organization and economics of the market, and I take care of the technical issues. It's all about proving ability, not a matter of age."
"In Italy, unfortunately, the cultural problem is: no one knows how to wait, people want everything right away, are impatient, although we often see that haste often leads to trouble. There are many young, good talents, in many fields in Italy, but they often choose to go where they feel appreciated, thereby making other countries more developed," he concluded.
