Why this is important
The 2-1 victory over Celta Vigo not only helped Juventus consolidate their position in the Europa League but also gave confidence to young players like Nick Woltemade. In the last match, Nick Woltemade had an excellent performance as Juventus won 2-1 against Celta Vigo, and he felt this was his "best match" at the club. This player also expressed his joy when playing with Randal Kolo Muani, a teammate he greatly appreciates.
Woltemade scored his first goal from a live ball situation in a Bianconeri shirt after taking advantage of a mistake by Marcos Alonso. It was a ball situation that Alonso did not handle well, giving Woltemade a chance to finish successfully. Kolo Muani then came off the bench and scored the winner in stoppage time, helping Juventus complete a comeback after Hugo Alvarez scored the opener for Celta Vigo after just 18 minutes.
"I think this was my best match for Juventus. Of course I could have done better, but I'm very satisfied with the goal. A goal always helps with confidence, which is very important for a striker, and I want to continue to improve myself," Woltemade told Sky Sport Italia.
The question is why coach Luciano Spalletti did not use both strikers Woltemade and Kolo Muani from the beginning. Woltemade said: "I really enjoy playing with Kolo. When there is only one striker, the defenders can focus on marking one person, which is easier for them. But when we have both, we can share the space better."
Kolo Muani also emphasized the same thing. The fact that both strikers want to play together but cannot start like that makes many people wonder. Woltemade expressed respect for the coach's decision: "I'm not the coach, I trust his choices and think that whatever decision he makes will be right. I'm a good player, so is Kolo, so the decision belongs to the coach. As long as we score goals, everyone will be happy."
What happens next
Juventus will need to continue to maintain this form in the next matches in the Europa League to ensure a solid position in the knock-out round. The combination of Woltemade and Kolo Muani may be considered more by coach Spalletti, especially when both are in good form. The club will aim to improve further this season, with the aim of going further in the Europa League.
