In the framework of the Lublin Four-way Tournament, the Project Warsaw team had an impressive performance under the guidance of coach Roberto Piatza. The team defeated home team Lublin with a score of 3-1, bringing Piatza his first title after just one week of joining the team. The final took place on October 11 at Globus Arena, Lublin, and was a dramatic confrontation between the two teams.
Going into the match, both teams were thoroughly prepared. The home team Lublin, with young talent and enthusiastic support from the audience, was hoping to repeat last year's success. However, Project Warsaw entered the match with great determination, and from the first set, they quickly dominated.
The first set was fairly even, but thanks to strong serves from Yury Semenyuk, Project Warsaw took the lead 12-9. Although the Lublin team tried to close the gap, a strong attack from Yury Romano helped the visitors win 25-21.
In the second set, Lublin started better and quickly took a 4-1 lead. However, Project Warsaw did not give up easily, and after a successful attack from Romano, they brought the match back to balance at 21-21. However, a crucial scoring run from Pawel Rosin helped Lublin win the set 25-23, leveling the match.
Set three witnessed Project Warsaw's superiority as they opened with a score of 5-1. Even though Lublin tried to pull back, Project Warsaw held on and finished the set 25-18, giving them a 2-1 lead.
Finally, in the fourth set, Project Warsaw continued to show its strength, starting with a score of 4-1. Although Lublin's coach asked for a pause to change tactics, this did not help much. With excellent blocking from Karol Kluz and constant pressure from the away team, Project Warsaw ended the set with a score of 25-19, and thereby won the final 3-1.
Thus, coach Roberto Piatza had an impressive start at Project Warsaw, bringing home the first title for his new team in just a short time.
